A special note to members about improvements on Ancestry.co.uk

Dear Ancestry.co.uk Members

I am excited to announce that we are launching three major improvements to Ancestry.co.uk this summer. These improvements are designed to address the feedback you’ve been giving us about your experiences on the site, and overall make you even more successful in discovering your family’s history.

Specifically, we want Ancestry.co.uk to be a place where you can:

  • Be notified of other members who are researching your ancestors, connect with them, share data and photos, and see when they add new information. Learn more
  • More easily find your ancestors in historical record images and edit their index information if you think something is incorrect. Learn more
  • Navigate and find the information in your family tree more quickly and easily. Learn more

As excited as I am about these improvements, I understand that changes we make can be challenging to get used to. We want to make your transition to these changes as easy as possible. That’s why before they are available on the site we are showing you how they will look, how you can use them, and explaining why we are making them. We also want to hear what you think. Send us your opinions using the feedback tools provided for each feature so you can help us refine these features and make them even more useful for you.

We will keep you posted as these new features become available on the site and look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Eric Shoup
Vice President, Product
